Ausdrill Ford Rising Stars Racing Team [FRSR] is not only debuting at the Australian Grand Prix this weekend but launching a new Ausdrill Apprentice Initiative.
“At each event through the year two Ausdrill apprentices will fly from WA to be part of the race team for the weekend”, FRSR Commercial Manager Kim White said today. “Not only are Ausdrill on board with the team as its Flagship Commercial Partner in 08 but tagging one of their internal promotions to match the FRSR ethic of providing training and mentoring opportunities for the young people”, he said.
For the Grand Prix meeting Adam Biston and Ben Winner from Ausdrill’s operations in Perth and Kalgoorlie will get the once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of a V8 Supercar team for a weekend. Ford Rising Stars Racing Team is a blend of experience and youth with young men and women making up much of the team.
Ausdrill is a diversified mining and services company providing leading edge services in mining, drill and blast, exploration, procurement & logistics, manufacturing, telecommunications and automotive industries with operations in Australia, United Kingdom and Africa. They are looking to the involvement to increase their brand awareness and in particular attract employees to their Western Australian business operations.
“Adam and Ben will get the full experience over the weekend sharing the team’s highs and lows and being involved with all the team operations”, Kim White from FRSR said. “In Adam’s case it’s a real adventure on many levels as his trip from Perth will also be his first plane trip and first time he has travelled outside of WA”, he said.
