After a fantastic first day with Michael finishing twenty first and thus starting eighteenth on the grid for race two Day Three was good and bad.

“Michael made further progress dropping his lap times by a further 0.6 of a second in race two to set twentieth fastest time”, Team Owner Jim Morton said. “Michael looked right at home for the first half of the race with some of the biggest names in V8’s behind as he settled into eighteenth spot”, he said.

A little off track excursion dropped him back to twenty third but he progressed back to twentieth before being hit in the rear quarter panel and put off the track and back to twenty sixth. In the incident he flat spotted a tyre so rather than take any risks the team called him into the pits on the last lap.

“We are still in good shape and I’m looking forward to race three tomorrow. I felt really comfortable racing with the top drivers. The car is great. We made some changes for the last race so I could see what different changes do to the car”, Michael said.
